LONDON and HAYWARD, Calif., January 30, 2001 - Certicom (Nasdaq: CERT; TSE: CIC) a leading provider of mobile e-business security, today announced the grand opening of a European office in London. The new office will help Certicom more effectively serve the rapidly growing mobile and wireless enterprise infrastructure markets in Europe.
The Hayward, California based company expanded its European presence in response to growing customer demand. Certicom has been active in Europe for several years and boasts a strong presence with key partners and customers including Digital Mobility (Dynamical Research Ltd.), Motorola, Schlumberger, Sony, Systor AG and TTPCom. The company recently announced new partnerships with Lucent Technologies, a global leader in providing the core technologies that deliver broadband and the mobile Internet, and Symbian, the leading software platform provider for wireless information devices (WIDs).
