The Security Builder® API™ sits between the protocols and cryptographic providers, and enables access to the fastest and/or strongest security on the device, whether it resides in hardware on the chipset or in the software cryptographic provider. Integrating with a single, shared cryptographic provider, also reduces overall code footprint and contains security functionality to a single, robust module.
